And this is the Victory, which overcomes the world, even our FAITH. 1 John 5:4

And this is the victory, which overcomes the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:4

Overcoming victory has its source rooted in conflict. Without

conflict, there wouldn’t be anything to overcome. And to overcome any

conflict it takes faith.

Very few times when Jesus walked with us did He intervene using His

own faith, though He did at times. Most of His healing the sick was

done according to their faith.

Some were healed right there on the spot, some were healed that very

same hour, and some were healed as they were walking away.

Nevertheless, Jesus would say to them, do you think (have faith) I am

able to do this. Then according to your faith be it unto you.

We are all given a measure of faith as people when we are born on this

planet. Because it takes faith to reach out to an unseen God to accept

His love.

Faith has substance, faith has value in the spirit realm. Faith is the

bridge which takes us to our hope. It is the substance of things hoped

for and evidence of things not seen. A lawyer will bring in evidence

to a court of law to make his case. We also have the same legal right

to our hope, that is the evidence in our heavenly court.

We can build that faith up a couple of ways.

Faith is like a muscle, you can work it and make it stronger by the

things you speak and say, and watch them come to pass. That is one way

to build your faith.

Another way, in the book of Jude, he says…building up your most holy

faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. That would be praying in an unknown

language.

1 Corinthians 14:4 Paul says…he that speaks in an unknown tongue,

edifies himself. Why do you suppose that is? Maybe according to Romans

8:26,27 Paul says…when we are praying in the Holy Ghost we are

praying God’s perfect will for our lives. That surely could and would

be edifying.

Yet another way comes by hearing the word of God taught to us, through

messages, reading, and praising. Romans 10:17

Now James states in his book chapter 2:17…even so faith, if it does

not have works with it, it is dead being alone, likewise works without

faith is dead also.

The faith James is speaking about isn’t the faith that is released at

first to get born again, its a more mature faith that comes through

time, working with God and developing it. It has corresponding action.

Faith is a verb, it shows action.

Why do you think when those men lowered their friend down through the

roof, the bible records…Jesus SAW their faith. They put action to

their belief, that if their friend, who had the palsy could get to

Jesus, he would be healed. And he was. Please remember to get a man

onto the roof top, on a bed, then rip through the tiles, to get him

into a position, to lower him in front of Jesus, took a lot of effort,

but they had faith which led them to their determined hope.

How bad do we want it?

How much effort are we willing to expend?

How long will we stand on the promises of God, not wavering through

unbelief?

But are strong in faith, which gives glory to God. Romans 4:20,21

When are we just going to believe God at His word?

When are we going to realize that Gods thoughts and plans for us are

absolutely unchanging, ever good towards us, and not bad? Jeremiah

29:11

He really is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

We must realize, that when we pray, is when we receive, not when we

see it.

Because if we don’t see a manifestation of our faith through our

prayers, the evil one tries to come in our thoughts and cause us to

question and doubt God. Has God really said?

The evil one wants our faith, not our stuff. If he can either steal or

deceive us from our faith, he knows that, that doesn’t please God.

Be encouraged though, that all things (even our mistakes) work

together for good to them that love God. Romans 8:28

God framed the worlds by His words through faith.

He spoke, it was.

God says about His faith in Isaiah 55:11…so shall my words be that

go forth out of my mouth, it shall not come back to me empty, but it

shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the

thing where I sent it.

You see God isn’t saying in His heart, I sure hope it will do what I

say. No, he said, it will do that which I say.

Likewise, we speak, it is.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, you will have the fruit

of it. Proverbs 18:21

We shall have whatever we say. Mark 11:23

Weather we speak positive about ourselves and our circumstances or

negative, we will have whatever we say.

So we must consider the thoughts and meditations of our heart and

mind. Guard with great consideration what goes into our heart, ears

and eyes. Like what we may watch on TV or listen to on the radio. How

about the music we listen to? If anything comes into our mind that

would draw us away from God or His ways, cast them down, and think on

good things. Philippians 4:8

Because out of the abundance of our heart the mouth speaks. We only

want to speak what either God or ourselves have said about a matter in

faith believing what God has promised.  He is faithful and just to

perform it. Romans 4:21

This thing called faith isn’t something we try. It is, and that’s that.

Either we believe or we don’t.

Earnest, Expectation, Confidence

Earnest, Expectation, Confidence

Earnest- down payment on a purchase, intense expectation.

Expectation- watching, waiting for something.

Confidence- trust, assurance, believing someone or yourself is well able.

Who being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you

will complete it. Philippians 1:6

For I know this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and supply

of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope.

Philippians 1:19,20

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace,

and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

…having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the

earnest (guarantee) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased

possession. Ephesians 1:13,14

Abraham was fully persuaded, (confident) that what God had promised, He was able

to perform it. Romans 4:21

To have the confident expectation in Gods desire for us. To actually know and

realize that He really has us in the forefront of His heart and mind, would

bring us into the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

The peace is so real and tangible, you can wear it like a coat, where others

around you can feel the peace, calm and anointing radiating from you.

This peace and anointing is very tender in the Holy Spirit. Remember He has

been viewed as a dove, and being such is subject to flight by any quick motion

or intrusion, any agitation or otherwise thoughts can send Him flying.

However, when every question matters no more, regardless of any diagnosis or

any phone call from anybody about anything, does not strike fear into your

heart. When every fear has been faced and overcome in His strength. When we

rest confidently in His love for us, that He would never leave us or forsake us.

If we could realize, just how much the Father cares for us. His ever consuming

passion for us. That we are His heirs, that Jesus was the seed sown, the first

among many brothers, we would rise to be the over comers our most precious Lord

promised us we could be.

But when the Spirit, (remember Comforter) leads us into the wilderness, in our

mortal, natural minds, (and contrary to popular and modern teachings) it seems

like He is leading us the wrong way.

However remember at twelve years old, Jesus’ understanding of the Old Testament

confounded the teachers of His time. Can you imagine after studying and praying

always before the Father for thirty years, how filled He was and confident in

His Father’s love for Him.

He was well able to face the wilderness experience with the confidence and peace

that His Father would not lead Him anywhere, where harm would befall Him. Not

until He had reached His expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

Even when the people would try and kill Him, before His time, He would walk

right through the mist of them and leave.

The same is true for us. Jesus is our honest and true big brother. What the

Father did for Him and through Him is what He will and wants to do through us.

Do we have the resolve of Job?

Even though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Job 13:15

Or, do we have the boldness to stand before the most powerful people in our

sphere of influence, be it boss, father, friend or foe. As did the three Hebrews

boys who stood before the most powerful man known to the world at that time and say

“the God whom we serve is well able to deliver us from this fiery furnace, and

to deliver us from your hand. But even if He doesn’t, we will not bow down to any

gods, nor worship the golden image.” Daniel 3:17,18

How about Daniel when told if he keeps praying to his God he would be placed

into the lions den?

Or lastly, how about the first century church, who faced complete annihilation

from the mad man Caesar Nero?

As Paul said about the things he suffered for the sake of the gospel, it was but

a light affliction compared to the glory that will be revealed in the next life.

II Corinthians 4:17

It must be our fear of rejection, low self esteem, or we must not have the

confidence that those others had towards God. Whatever it is, we really need to

address it, and stand up tall and brave before the current world systems.

The Word says “if we will confess Jesus to the world, He will confess us before

the Father.” Luke 12:8

Let’s stand in total confidence like the great example of witnesses before us who knew that our God is well able.

If we only realize our Father’s all consuming passion for us. He has placed

heaven and earth at our disposal. Concerning the works of His hands, He said you command Me. Isaiah 45:11

His thoughts towards us are of good not evil. He is not looking for a reason to

fry us, He is looking for ways to bless us.

Stand strong in the power of His might, lean not to your own understanding and

the God who is more than enough will guide us and keep us until the great day of our Lord.

Faith must be released through our words, out of our mouths

Faith must be released by our words,

through our mouths.

Because of the creative power of our words

we frame our world.

Our words are our seeds that we plant

to create our world.

The word of God in our mouth, is just as powerful

as the word that comes out of God’s mouth.

How many times do we read in the Bible…

God says “have I not said?”

And until we really deep down believe that,

the evil one will continually have us

saying the wrong thing.

You see the evil one knows that by our words

our world is established,

because the end of Mark 11:23, God said “You will

have whatsoever you say”

Proverbs 12:14, 13:2 says by the words of your

mouth (seeds sown) you shall eat the fruit thereof.

•Because our words spoken (seeds planted) will affect

• How we think, Proverbs 23:7 says as a man thinks

in his heart so is he. (not in his head)

will affect

• Our emotions, 1Corintians 13:4-8 which will affect

• Our decisions, Joshua 1:8 which will affect

• Our actions, Acts10:38, Galatians 6:7-10 which will affect

• Our habits, Philippians 4:8 which will affect

• Our character, which will ultimately affect

• Our final destination and plans God has for our lives.

Concerning the Tower of Babel

Genesis 11:6 states

And the Lord said

• Indeed the people are ONE.

• They speak the same language

• Now NOTHING that they purpose to do will be

 WITHHELD from them.

And Jesus said

• That if two of you agree on earth

• Concerning ANYTHING

• That they ask my Father

• It will be done for them.

Where we get into trouble is when time passes

the evil one says in our minds,

you see you asked and nothing happened.

Do you think he cares about what it is that you asked for?

No, he wants to steal the word of FAITH from your vocabulary and

confession, so you will speak something else contrary to your prayer.

So even when sometime goes by and it appears that nothing is happening

don’t speak anything other than what either God said about it or what

you said about it.

Because by the confession of your mouth YOUR world is framed.

Now since we are to walk by faith…

Now since we are to walk by faith and not by how our circumstances appear.

- because it is impossible to please God without faith. Hebrews 11:6

I wanted to show all of us an account of faith that is quite remarkable ( in my

mind anyway )

Joshua 6:1,2

Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went

out, and non went in.

And the Lord said to Joshua “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king

and mighty men of valor.

Keep in mind that the people of Jericho witnessed the children of Israel

crossing the swollen river Jordan on dry ground.

Remember the Bible records the river to be over its banks during the time of the

harvest.

Then once on the other side of the Jordan, Joshua heard the voice of the Lord

saying make for yourselves sharp knives and circumcise again the children of Israel.

Now let’s keep in mind that the army of the Lord is now on enemy soil.

And the Lord now wants them to have an operation on the enemies side of the river.

I think it might be important to note that what was going on inside the tents of

the men of war of Israel.  They were not aware of what was going on inside the

city walls of Jericho. As far as they knew they were in there preparing for war

and here we are laid out and  wounded by our own hand. Do you think any of them

had thoughts of doubt, concern that maybe their leader was a little coo-coo?

Anyway like I said the warriors did not know that because of the waters

collecting in a heap and the children passed over on dry land that all the

people inside the city, the Bible says that their hearts had melted, neither was

there spirit in them anymore. Joshua 5:1

Then on top of that the Lord came to Joshua ( physically and in person ) about

their new battle plan.

- First He said see with the eye of faith I have given you the city

- Next He said I have given you their warriors

- Then He told them all the men of war will compass the city and go around it

once for six days.

- and seven priests with seven trumpets of rams horns shall accompany the men of

war

- then on the seventh day you shall compass the city seven times and on the

seventh time you shall shout with a loud shout and the wall will fall down flat.

And it came to pass as the Lord commanded.

My word shall accomplish that to which I send it.
