Romans 8:19-22;
For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the
revealing of the sons of God.
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because
of Him who subjected it in hope.
Let’s stop right there a moment and ask a couple of questions.
First who subjected what to what, and for what reason.
The verse says that he, subjected the creation, (the creation not
being willing) in hope.
In hope of what?
In verse 19, for the revealing of the sons of God.
God the Father is the one who did the subjecting for a number of
reasons.
One, that he subjected it in hope. Hope for a future event. Man
couldn’t do that and the evil one wouldn’t.
Two, God first did the subjecting to corruption, through man at the
fall, then it will be Him who brings about the subjecting to the
glorious life through man at his revelation of who he is in God.
Why? We will answer that question in one minute. Let’s move on.
Because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into that glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth
pangs together until now.
Until when?
Until the revealing of the sons of God.
What is suppose to happen for creations sake at the revealing of the
sons of God?v.21 It (creation) should no longer be subjected to the
bondage of corruption, but be delivered into the glorious liberty of,
or by, the children of the Most High.
What does that mean for creation?
As it is in heaven, so shall it be on earth.
What? No death, or decay (corruption) but glorious life.
As far as we are concerned, what was the very first thing God gave man
to do on this planet after his creation?
Tend to the garden.
Then before the fall, and in heaven, do you think the vegetation was
or is subject to decay? No.
The leaves on the trees, and the grass in the fields do not, and did
not go into hibernation.
We as the attendants of the garden of God, have the ability to say to
these trees, you now are no longer subject to decay.
As I step into my rightful place in God, as a son of God, stand in the
power of His might, that it may be revealed through me, that we can
say to this planet you shall no longer be subjected to corruption, but
you, now shall be subjected to the glorious liberty you were suppose
to have all along.
Cast not your leaves upon the ground, you are freed from the bondage
of corruption, and are delivered into that glorious life of liberty.
If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.
Mark 9:23
Therefore I (Jesus) say to you, what things you desire, when you pray,
believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24
The revealing of the sons of God comes when the sons of God realize
who they are in God, what He has given them, and why He has given it.
I don’t think by any stretch of the imagination we the church have an
idea who we are in Christ.
I do know one of the principles we need to realize is that when we
speak, things happen, first in the spirit realm and then into the
natural realm.
We are created in His image and likeness. He is our Father.
When my sons go and see people that know me, those folks know they are
my sons by the way they walk, by the way they talk. They are a copy of
me, they are a representation of me.
So should we be a copy and representation of our Spiritual Father.
Since we were not able to be raised in His house under His influence
like our sons were with us, that is not a reason not to be like Him.
He did leave us letters to let us know what it is that He is
passionate about, what it is He desires for us, and how it is that we
should walk here on earth.
He is such a good Father, He even gave us examples how it is that we
can walk and talk like Him, and have the same results that He does.
He desires that when we go and see people that know Him, they will
know that we are His sons.
Better yet, when we see people that don’t know Him, they can see Him,
and love Him also, by our love for Him, through touching their lives,
like He would if He were here in front if them.
Remember what the Lord said to the man who had leprosy when he asked,
Lord if you are willing, you can make me whole, Jesus simply said I
Am, and touched him. God wants us to touch peoples lives weather they
are clean, or unclean, with the same care and compassion as He does.
In the book He left us so that we can study it to see how He walks and
talks, the very first thing He shows us is the power of His words.
God said, and it was so.
As I see it, the Father spoke by faith with the knowledge that what He
said would come to pass.
His faith mixed with action (speaking) produced creativity.
He has such a confidence in His words that they will produce, He tells
us about it over and over again in His letter to us.
I am really strengthened by His comment in the book of Isaiah 55:10&11
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and does not
return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth the bud,
that it may give seed to the sower, and bread for the eater: (here it
is) so shall my word be that goes out of my mouth: it shall not return
to me void, but IT SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I please, and it SHALL
prosper in the thing where I sent it.
That is the revealing of the sons of God, that they get the same
results from their words as their Father does.
They finally know what it is they are to do, also what it is they can
do, and they operate in it.
May I ask a question here?
Do we think for just one moment that when Elijah called fire down from
heaven he was wondering if God was going to hear him?
Or do we think that he was wondering if what he said was going to come
to pass?
Remember this is the man that was eventually translated alive into
heaven not seeing death.
I would say no to both questions. Why?
He had the revelation and knowledge who he was in God. He also knew
what kind of authority he had as a son of the Most High.
This too is our rights as children of the Lord.
Not to be arrogant, or prideful about who we are to the point of
error, but to have a genuine care and concern for the creation and the
created beings on this planet as our Father does.
I don’t think that it is a big deal that The Father has given us
dominion over the elements. When Jesus awoke in the boat, and rebuked
the storm, He said to his men, “oh you of little faith.”
And they marveled that even the elements obeyed Him.
I’m thinking though by His comment to them of having little faith, He
thought that they could have done it just the same.
Genesis 1:26- God said let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let him have dominion over the fish, birds, cattle, and
over ALL the earth, and over everything that walks on the earth.
Joshua’s faith caused even the planetary system to stop for an entire
day.
Now he had a plan to accomplish the will of God. So it was needed to
defeat their enemies.
But how about King Hezekiah’s sign from God, the sun going backwards ten
degrees on the sun dial? Isaiah 38:8 That is about six hours.
So, we do have times when the world and the planets have obeyed the
voice of men, we must remain humble in the sight of our God, and
remember that our faith in Him can cause the suspension of His natural
laws.
So in conclusion, we as sons of God have at our disposal, and as our
grafted in birthright, the ability and confidence in our Father to
speak as He speaks, and get the same results He gets.
Jesus said, if thou have the faith as a grain of a mustard seed YOU
CAN SAY to this mountain be thou removed to another place, it shall be
removed, and NOTHING shall be IMPOSSIBLE to you. Matthew 18:20.
