We read into the Word what we have been taught or believe.
Try believeing only the words we read, not read into it what we believe.
Like for instance, the word repent, was told to me, to mean turn
around, go the other way.
Well to find out, it REALLY means, to think differently, or reconsider.
We must remember that we have been under a fallin influence for four
thousand years, and not much has changed since the Son of God showed
up and gave us back our authority, to be the rulers of this planet.
We have through time come to accept the lies the evil one has told us
over and over again.
The very first thing Jesus said as recorded in Matthew, was repent for
the Kingdom from Heaven is at hand.
In other words, change the way you have been thinking about things,
because I have been sent to you, to give to you, by demonstration,
that the Kingdom from Heaven is back on earth.
When Jesus spoke the bible states that all who heard Him were amazed
at His wisdom, because He spoke as one with authority, not as the
teachers of the law.
Have you ever given that much thought as to why He spoke differently,
as to the teachers of the law?
The teachers of the law spoke from the point of view that had been
passed down to them from their teachers from generations past.
Well the bible clears states that the traditions of men, cause the
Word of God to be ineffectual.
When God came to us the the form of man, He brought with Him His very
Spirit of wisdom, and spoke the essence or spirit of the law, not the
letter of the law.
Not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the
spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:6
My point is this, we really need to make a concerted and clear
desision, to read only the words that are written down on the paper by
inspiration of the Spirit, and then ask Him what He meant and allow
His Spirit then to minister life to our souls.
A good practice for me was to go through and read without as much
prejudice as possible, the words only written in red, and then here’s
a key, MEDITATE on THOSE words ONLY.
And then according to Psalms, and Joshua, when we meditate on those
things we will cause ourselves to prosper.
