Matthew 6:14-
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will
also forgive you:
But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses.
So here are the words of Jesus Himself, written in red for our
clarification so as not to think they are anybody else’s words.
Its a mighty powerful statement. Forgive, be forgiven. Don’t forgive,
neither be forgiven.
Question, how can we call out to the Lord for forgiveness, who we can
not see? And then we refuse to forgive those in our lives, that we can
see?
Well Frank, you just don’t understand what they did to me.
Do you think God understands?
Do you think that it really matters anyway in light of what Jesus took
on OUR behalf by the hands of brutal men who literally ripped the
flesh off His body?
It is a higher calling to walk as such, because it than leaves no room
for the enemy to have his way with us through offenses.
I have two instances in my mind when two different men were being
killed by the hands of ungodly men, and they prayed as they were
dying, Father hold not this charge against them for they know not what
they are doing, Jesus on the cross, and the very first martyr, Steven.
Let ourselves rise to this high mark and calling in Christ, and in so
doing walk above the circumstances and offenses of this life, and we
will then TRUELY be more than a conqueror in Him.
