Yesterday while I was driving to work, I was listening to a worship CD.
There is a group on it from some church somewhere, that has such an
anointing on their music and voices, that I had to listened to it
twice through.
There is a part in their worship that has a piano player playing just
single notes and building up with intensity ever so slowly.
I said to the Lord, I have never heard such a beautiful sound in just
single notes before, I said it must be the sound of heaven.
When I said that phrase, I had a thought of Lucifer, ever before the
Lord, and not only hearing that sound, but performing that sound.
To hear and see the sound of heaven, I suddenly felt pity for him.
Let me say this as I try to clarify my remark.
We tend to think that Satan and God are equal in power, wisdom and
strength. However, Lucifer was a created being.
The Bible says in Ezekiel 28:11-15, that he is perfectly beautiful and
an anointed cherub that covers. Pipes and instruments of praise
are built right into his body. That his garments are covered in all
precious jewels.
In the eons past, Lucifer stood before the Most High and led heaven,
and all the angels in worship.
He knows the sound of heaven.
Then of course we know that by the pride of his beauty, the wisdom of
his heart and the bountifulness of his wealth through trade, his heart
was lifted up against God.
But my point about having pity on him is that he was there, in the
presence of the Most High, and because of pride was expelled.
That stands as a sobering warning even to me, a created being also.
The being that now stands as the enemy of my soul was once an anointed
worship leader in the presence of the Most High. The Bible says that
where pride and anger is, there is every evil work. That is now what
Lucifer turned himself into, Satan, the enemy of God, and God’s newly
created beings, mankind.
Not an equal, just an adversary.
My friends please remember that we too can stand in the presence of
the Most High and give Him the praise of our hearts, that we can add
our sound to the sound of heaven and bring praise to the King of Kings
and the Lord of Lords.
Only be sober, your adversary goes about AS a roaring lion seeking who
he can devour.
Submit to God, resist the enemy and he WILL flee from you.
Be strong in the power of His might,
and walk not as children, always pouting about what we don’t have. But
be men, and thankful in all things for this is the will of God for
your life.
