True wealth is not the abundance of money, nor the lack of it.

True wealth is not the abundance of money, nor the lack of it.

It is the ability to show mercy on those who do not have.

To build for ourselves mansions of glory, and remember not those who have not,

is a crime against those who Jesus is their King also.

To turn our eye from those around us who have a need, and we in our own lust for

more, close our hand to them, is to turn our head on the Most High.

You shall remember the Lord your God: for it is He that gives you power to get

wealth, that He may establish His COVENANT which He swore unto our fathers.

Deuteronomy 8:18

What was the covenant?

I will make of you a great nation…that you can be a blessing…in you all the

families of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 12:2,3

That is the covenant, that we take what is on our hand, that the Lord has

provided, and bless or help ALL the families of the earth, those around us.

This is not a task that one can do on his or her own ability, but if we all do

our part, for those who are on our hearts, and for those around us, we will end

up blessing the whole earth.

It is not by our power, not by our strength, but by the Spirit of God. He will

lead each of us in our own direction, and on our own path, so as to effect

those we are suppose to effect. He has a burden on each of us, different from each other, yet if we could see the total orchestration of the call, we would see

that every part fitly joined together, doing its part and supplying its own

part, till we all are joined together doing our part, blessing all the families

of the earth.

It is a great privilege and honor to be able to help those around us in need,

so they can see the goodness of God.

That is true wealth, not looking to our own needs and desires, but having our

eyes out, to meet the needs and desires of others. In doing so, God the Father

said He would meet our every need, according to His riches in glory.

God has good thoughts towards us, they are of good and not of evil.

His passion and all consuming love towards us, should be contagious, with

regard towards others. Remember in Genesis, God made everything to bear fruit after its own kind, including Himself. Let Us make man in Our image. After Our likeness, He created him.

So let’s keep our eyes off of ourselves, and our tiny little problems, because

God said He would supply our every need according to His riches in glory, and

keep them pointing outwards towards the needs of others, and watch the

manifestation of our God to show Himself strong.

Earnest, Expectation, Confidence

Earnest, Expectation, Confidence

Earnest- down payment on a purchase, intense expectation.

Expectation- watching, waiting for something.

Confidence- trust, assurance, believing someone or yourself is well able.

Who being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you

will complete it. Philippians 1:6

For I know this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and supply

of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope.

Philippians 1:19,20

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace,

and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

…having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the

earnest (guarantee) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased

possession. Ephesians 1:13,14

Abraham was fully persuaded, (confident) that what God had promised, He was able

to perform it. Romans 4:21

To have the confident expectation in Gods desire for us. To actually know and

realize that He really has us in the forefront of His heart and mind, would

bring us into the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

The peace is so real and tangible, you can wear it like a coat, where others

around you can feel the peace, calm and anointing radiating from you.

This peace and anointing is very tender in the Holy Spirit. Remember He has

been viewed as a dove, and being such is subject to flight by any quick motion

or intrusion, any agitation or otherwise thoughts can send Him flying.

However, when every question matters no more, regardless of any diagnosis or

any phone call from anybody about anything, does not strike fear into your

heart. When every fear has been faced and overcome in His strength. When we

rest confidently in His love for us, that He would never leave us or forsake us.

If we could realize, just how much the Father cares for us. His ever consuming

passion for us. That we are His heirs, that Jesus was the seed sown, the first

among many brothers, we would rise to be the over comers our most precious Lord

promised us we could be.

But when the Spirit, (remember Comforter) leads us into the wilderness, in our

mortal, natural minds, (and contrary to popular and modern teachings) it seems

like He is leading us the wrong way.

However remember at twelve years old, Jesus’ understanding of the Old Testament

confounded the teachers of His time. Can you imagine after studying and praying

always before the Father for thirty years, how filled He was and confident in

His Father’s love for Him.

He was well able to face the wilderness experience with the confidence and peace

that His Father would not lead Him anywhere, where harm would befall Him. Not

until He had reached His expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

Even when the people would try and kill Him, before His time, He would walk

right through the mist of them and leave.

The same is true for us. Jesus is our honest and true big brother. What the

Father did for Him and through Him is what He will and wants to do through us.

Do we have the resolve of Job?

Even though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Job 13:15

Or, do we have the boldness to stand before the most powerful people in our

sphere of influence, be it boss, father, friend or foe. As did the three Hebrews

boys who stood before the most powerful man known to the world at that time and say

“the God whom we serve is well able to deliver us from this fiery furnace, and

to deliver us from your hand. But even if He doesn’t, we will not bow down to any

gods, nor worship the golden image.” Daniel 3:17,18

How about Daniel when told if he keeps praying to his God he would be placed

into the lions den?

Or lastly, how about the first century church, who faced complete annihilation

from the mad man Caesar Nero?

As Paul said about the things he suffered for the sake of the gospel, it was but

a light affliction compared to the glory that will be revealed in the next life.

II Corinthians 4:17

It must be our fear of rejection, low self esteem, or we must not have the

confidence that those others had towards God. Whatever it is, we really need to

address it, and stand up tall and brave before the current world systems.

The Word says “if we will confess Jesus to the world, He will confess us before

the Father.” Luke 12:8

Let’s stand in total confidence like the great example of witnesses before us who knew that our God is well able.

If we only realize our Father’s all consuming passion for us. He has placed

heaven and earth at our disposal. Concerning the works of His hands, He said you command Me. Isaiah 45:11

His thoughts towards us are of good not evil. He is not looking for a reason to

fry us, He is looking for ways to bless us.

Stand strong in the power of His might, lean not to your own understanding and

the God who is more than enough will guide us and keep us until the great day of our Lord.

In these last days

In these last days…

Whether these are the last days of the church age, or are the last few days of

our lives here in the flesh, on earth.

The evil one has and will ramp up his assault on our lives. Remember he has but

one goal. That is to draw you and I away from Jesus and the Father.

We as members of the body of Jesus here in this present age, should be and I

feel obligated to uphold each other in each others weaknesses.

If we look at others and say in our hearts “thank you Lord that I’m not like one

of these who sin against You” we take the risk of self righteousness.

And in turn isolate the wounded soul to himself, who Jesus died for also, and

leave him or her to the ravishes of the evil one.

Divide and conquer is the oldest strategy in the book. Yet we as members in the

body of Christ so often look with disdain at those around us who fall victim to

the temptations of their souls, and the weaknesses of their flesh with a

Pharisaical and self righteous attitude that is a stench in our Father’s nose.

Once again the goal of the evil one is to separate us from the Father.

Enough for the rebuke. There is something we as members in Jesus’ body can do

against the wiles of the evil one. We can keep in mind that we to are but flesh

and subject to the same temptations as others, and if not by the calling on the

strength of Jesus in our own lives we too could fall prey to the temptations of

our soul.

Let us have the real passion of the Father, the true caring and compassion for

those who are struggling with sin. Let’s not bury them in shame, guilt and

gossip. How about we earnestly pray a covering over them, speak the blood of

Jesus over their minds, have a genuine concern for their need to be loved and to

be cared for. No greater love has a man then he lay down his life for a friend.

We ourselves must on a daily basis keep mortifying our minds and bodies and put

to death the deeds of our flesh. We must continually crucify our flesh and take

it to the cross everyday where we can ask Jesus to nail our weaknesses and our

sin to His cross. He was and is able to bear that burden on His own. We are

unable under any circumstances able to bear that burden.

We need to draw on His strength and the power of His might. He will never leave

us or forsake us.

Let us keep stirring up within ourselves our first love. Remembering from what

The world of self, only caring for me and mine. The desiring yet never

having, the wanting yet never obtaining. Temptation promises only what you

desire, yet it never satisfies, and say you do get a piece of temporary

satisfaction. It will then expose you to the world then kill you.

Gird up your minds everyday and take advantage of everyway to keep your mind

fixed on Him, His ways are true and right.

And let us really and sincerely pray for all people an earnest prayer of

protection that the wiles of the evil one are put to naught. Lest we ourselves

fall into temptation and ourselves fall from grace and shipwreck even our own

faith.

May the Lord and the power of His might guard you and keep you even until the

day of our Lord.

Abraham believed God and…

Filed under: Gods Desire for Us — Frank Thompson @ 10:08 am

Abraham believed God,

and it was counted to him as righteousness.

What was it that Abraham believed?

He believed a word from God in Genesis 12:1-3 that said:

Get out of your country, from your realitives, and from your fathers house, go

to a land that I will show you. AND I will make of thee a great nation, and I

will bless you, make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. I will bless

them that bless you, and curse them that curse you, and in you will all the

families of the earth be blessed.

At this time in Abraham’s life, he and his wife were without child.

Yet the Lord said to him, I will make you a great nation. Well you can’t do that without kids.

Yet the Lord said to Joshua, see I have given you the city Jericho, the king,

and the mighty men of valor.

Yet the Lord said to me, I will pay your bills. Not only yours but your

children’s bills, and the bills of the ministry that you will walk in.

According to that which was spoken by God to Abraham, Joshua and myself, we

staggered not at that promise through unbelief, but were strong in faith, which

gives glory to God. For the word says that the just shall live by faith.

We continually call those things that be not as though they are. For we are the

righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

For we are fully persuaded that what God has promised us, He is able also to

perform it.

What has the Lord said to you?

Does it make any sense in your natural, calculating mind?

Do you know it to be right?

Are you unsure how it will come to pass?

Because if you can’t do something, in your mind, or in your own ability, that’s

when God can move.

Can I tell you that the thief will come to your mind and try and steal the word

sown there by the Spirit of the Living God.

The oldest question ever recorded in the annals of time is:

Has God said?

The reason the evil one uses the very same question on us as he used with Eve is because it works.

If the evil one can get you to question God, he has hamstrung you, is able to

take you out, and steal all that which God has for you.

Not that the evil one is interested in your stuff, he wants you to be of no use

to God. Therefore; if you can’t be used by God, then you’re not being a threat to him and his kingdom affairs.

Gods question to Adam was, who has said this to you?

It wasn’t I

Is someone or somebody speaking to you in your ears or in your mind?

Are they asking you has God really said?

Are they asking you did you really hear from God?

By the way things look, it appears you may have missed God.

Any kind of questions like that?

I would question what are their motives, and what would be the outcome of

listening to them?

Would it draw you closer to the Most High? Or would it draw you away?

Better to perceive that you hear from God, and miss it.

Then never believe you hear from God and do nothing.

Romans 8:28 states that ALL things work together for good…even your mistakes.

So I encourage you in the grace of our Lord, to pray and obey quickly and be

confident that what God has said to you, He is well able to bring it to pass.

Sing, worship and honor God the Father

Sing, worship and honor God the Father with your life for it is our reasonable

service for all that He has provided and given to us through His Glorious Son,

the fairest of ten thousand, the bright and Morning Star.

The violent and terrible battle Jesus did for us, so that we through His

victory we could walk in peace, power and love.

Free from the condemnation of sin, and the prospect of hell, death and the

grave. For we now walk in the newness of life that He has given us.

That we could be more than conquerors through his strength to overcome evil with

good.

Pray for those who persecute you, give food and drink to those who speak all

manner of lies against you, give thanks in everything for this is the will of

God for your life.

Even though He were a Son, yet He learned obedience through the things He

suffered.

Father forgive them, they don’t know what they are doing.

Praise, singing and dancing before the Lord in spite of your circumstances is an

awesome weapon of warfare, and it shows God something of your desire for Him.

That even though it may look bad, we are still going to trust Him.

The weapons of our warfare are not made by man, but they are made by God  and

mighty in His hand on our behalf to the pulling down of the strongholds that may

be in our lives.

In Him we do have the victory.

Love works no ill towards his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the

law.
